The Kemeys Grange Counselling Centre has been working with private and public organisations since 2004. The employee support offers counselling to employees and staff who are experiencing stress related problems within the workplace.

Counselling which is independant, impartial and non-judgemental takes place away from the workplace in quiet comfortable rooms, hence maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

Claims were made in a newspaper that "STRESS" has become the biggest threat to business A leading physicologist said a study of 250,000 staff showed stress left thousands unable to cope. Individuals suffering from mental difficulties prove reluctant to return to paid employment after claiming benefit for a year. For non manual staff 36% of directors said stress was most common whilst 21% sighted mental health problems that had occured.

Work reated stress accounts for over a third new instances of ill health, a total of 13 million working days were lost to work related stress, depression and anxiety in 2007/2008.

It is helpful for employers to recognise staff workplace stresses in situations where counselling may be offered as a safety net for the staff, this in turn may result in a financial economic benefit to both employer and employee.
